Learning Goals Term 2 2019

This week we reflected on our work from last term and what we had learnt.  We then used this information to find goals for this term. Here are my learning goals and my key competency goal for term 2.

Numeracy

This week we did fraction work sheet on slides I found it really easy to me it was fun to do I really enjoyed it it has to be one of my favourite task to do. Here it is.

These are my numeracy goals for term 1 I hope to achieve some of them or just one I think these goals are very good set goals for me.

It took a while to find the goals I'm working on Math buddy, Studdyladder and YouTube.   

Numeracy T4W9 Reflection

Numeracy

For numeracy this week I did Studyladder. I did all nine of the Studyladder tasks. They were in between hard and easy. I enjoyed doing these task because they were fun. Here is a screenshot of the tasks I completed.

For numeracy this week Google Maps Nicky and I did Tsunamis
 there were a few cool ones the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake occurred on 26 December with the epicentre off the west coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. The shock had a moment magnitude of 9.3. this is only one of the ones we did.

For Numeracy this week I did some more problem solving. I chose the hardest one that I did. I think it was quite hard. I succussed with hard work. These are aren't real links.

Maths

For numeracy this week we did some more position and orientation. Nicky and I have done some more things to show you. The kitchen floor is the first activity we did. Here is the image for it. We have changed the food a lot can you see the differences? 

  

Numeracy T3W5 Reflection

Numeracy

For numeracy this week we did how many tens are in 1309 there are 130 tens in 1309 and there are no tens in 9. That's how you know 130 tens in 1309. 

Week 9 Reflection

Prep

For Prep I helped the little kids. We made about 40 tic-tac-toe games. Our group was called the tic tacers. Personally I enjoyed it I have no idea about other people, but I'm pretty sure they like it.

Prep is when you get together in groups and you make things out of drift wood, materials, stones and recycled lids. There are CEO which is the boss of the group then there is the treasurer, secretory, 2IC, worker, market manger.        

 Literacy

For literacy we were planing our speech and my speech is on my family history. We have not done our speeches yet here is my speech plan.

Numeracy

For numeracy this week we did the top dog pooch sheet on our Chromebook. So we make a sheet on what dog you want to own. My group did a German Shepherd for our dog then we named it Cleo. All of the groups did some maths we had to work out how much all the stuff we had to buy for our dog and how much the the dog cost and the food.

Maths

For maths this week we are learning how to use long algorithms

Literacy

WALT: use paragraphs. This week for writing we are doing show not tell we had to guess the other persons emotion. I think I did pretty well.

We also did When to start a new paragraph. I learnt to start a new paragraph when the time changes, when the setting changes and when a new character comes in.   

   

Reading

For reading we did Peter Rabbit Comprehension: Find literacy elements. Witch means word the story in a different words.

Word work

Some word work to practice spelling so I can learn to type faster and spell properly.

Shantytown

Shantytown came to school to see people from Grey Main School. We learnt how to barter/trading.

Reading

Some more infer and support to read and help use under stand the story better and get more evidence. 

Week 5 T2 reflections

Reading

For reading we are learning to infer so we know more we were finding clues to find out what happened I found it in the middle hard My infer and support activity.

Writing

In Mr Zuckerman’s barn a MIRACLE HAS HAPPENED

At Mr Zuckerman’s barn, on the outskirts of Canada, a web has been transformed into a miracle. Lurvy tell us what happened?”

Lurvy: “Well it was a frosty morning at the barn. Wilbur was hungry and something caught Luvry eye. SOME PIG was written in Charlotte's web… then Mr Zuckerman came out to see what all the ruckus was about now People from all over the world have come to see Wilbur.”

Reporter: “People say a miracle has happened in the barn. People from America, New Zealand, England and China have been going to the barn.

At six a.m. a web has turn into a miracle a little pig called Wilbur. Not an ordinary pig he is a special pig. Lurvey was the person who discovered the miracle and Mr (Homer) Zuckerman told a lawyer about the miracle and it turn world wide. What will happen next? Over 1,000 people have visited, Wilbur when people get bored he does a backflip. A runt he was Mr arable was going to chop his head off! But he didn't

Week 4 T2 reflection

 Numeracy

 For maths we have  learning to round numbers e.g 30x5 you make the 5 a 4 30x4=120 then you add 1 it equals 150 and that's rounding numbers.

This week we are writing a news paper article for writing. We are using the section from Charlotte's web about Some Pig.

Reading    

For reading we are doing Infer and supporting it means reading pictures and helping others.  

Week 3 T2 reflection

Literacy

WALT: to describe your favourite character. I learnt something about Wilbur. You can read it your self then you will know why I put Wilbur is not an ordinary pig.

Banqer

This is what I have been up to on Banqer. Have a look at it and you will be able to read what other people and the teachers have paid me for. 

Numeracy

Sorry its blurry hopefully you can read it. This is numeracy. WALT: multiply and divide using doubling and having. I found some of it easy and some hard.

Week 2 T2 reflection

For literacy this week we have been learning about spiders. We had to write 3 paragraphs about spiders we used bubbl.us to brain storm about spiders.

As part of our Anzac topic we created an Anzac activity that involves making a drawing of an Anzac map. We copied it off an online map that we researched. 

We have been learning about time. I put lots of time into this slide I hope you enjoy.

Week 9 reflection

This week I was working on the coming storm I had to write  seven 
slides it was hard.

I had to do a true false challenge about unicycles it was a bit tricky to make because I do not know much about unicycles.























For this activity I had to do more doubling and halving like  last week.

Week 8 reflections

Some silly sentences that I made for word work.


My reading group has been reading cool facts about a hot place like the sun.
My maths group has been splitting multiplication equations in half or doubling it makes it easier.

Week 7 Reflection

I have been doing some cool maths half and half again. I found this pretty easy so next week I will choose more challenging tasks.




Here is my writing. I learnt that you can make electricity because it goes to houses with electricity water makes electricity. 

Week 6 refections

My reading group has been reading Maui and the sun doing wonderings.


This is the first maths activity we did we learnt to order numbers to 1000.
For my writing In week 6 I had to describe a chimpanzee holding a leaf above his head when it was raining.
