Numeracy

For numeracy this week we did how many tens are in 1309 there are 130 tens in 1309 and there are no tens in 9. That's how you know 130 tens in 1309.

I really enjoyed the book Its about Gary running away while Spongebob is doing the dirty bubble challenge and Gary gets mistaken for anther snail she was pretty nice at the start the Gary found out a secret. I give the book a 4 stars **** out of 5 stars    

Book Week 2016 Reflection

Book Character Day!!

For book character day we dress up as our favorite book character. I was Harry Potter. There was tons of awesome costumes. My personal favorite costumes was Geronimo Stilton costume. 

Wacky Wednesday!!

This year Thursday . For wacky Thursday I put a cake hat that said happy birthday. One of the teachers read us some books he read 101 most disgusting things. 

What is book week

There is tons of different activities that you do like find the golden ticket, wacky Wednesday, book character day and Pj party I did not go to the  Pj party. My favorite thing we did for book week was  book character day and wacky Thursday. I really enjoy book week. 

  

Week 9 Reflection

Prep

For Prep I helped the little kids. We made about 40 tic-tac-toe games. Our group was called the tic tacers. Personally I enjoyed it I have no idea about other people, but I'm pretty sure they like it.

Prep is when you get together in groups and you make things out of drift wood, materials, stones and recycled lids. There are CEO which is the boss of the group then there is the treasurer, secretory, 2IC, worker, market manger.        

 Literacy

For literacy we were planing our speech and my speech is on my family history. We have not done our speeches yet here is my speech plan.

Numeracy

For numeracy this week we did the top dog pooch sheet on our Chromebook. So we make a sheet on what dog you want to own. My group did a German Shepherd for our dog then we named it Cleo. All of the groups did some maths we had to work out how much all the stuff we had to buy for our dog and how much the the dog cost and the food.

Maths

For maths this week we are learning how to use long algorithms

Literacy

WALT: use paragraphs. This week for writing we are doing show not tell we had to guess the other persons emotion. I think I did pretty well.

We also did When to start a new paragraph. I learnt to start a new paragraph when the time changes, when the setting changes and when a new character comes in.   

   

Reading

For reading we did Peter Rabbit Comprehension: Find literacy elements. Witch means word the story in a different words.

Word work

Some word work to practice spelling so I can learn to type faster and spell properly.

Shantytown came to school to see people from Grey Main School. We learnt how to barter/trading.

Some more infer and support to read and help use under stand the story better and get more evidence.

In Mr Zuckerman’s barn a MIRACLE HAS HAPPENED

At Mr Zuckerman’s barn, on the outskirts of Canada, a web has been transformed into a miracle. Lurvy tell us what happened?”

Lurvy: “Well it was a frosty morning at the barn. Wilbur was hungry and something caught Luvry eye. SOME PIG was written in Charlotte's web… then Mr Zuckerman came out to see what all the ruckus was about now People from all over the world have come to see Wilbur.”

Reporter: “People say a miracle has happened in the barn. People from America, New Zealand, England and China have been going to the barn.

At six a.m. a web has turn into a miracle a little pig called Wilbur. Not an ordinary pig he is a special pig. Lurvey was the person who discovered the miracle and Mr (Homer) Zuckerman told a lawyer about the miracle and it turn world wide. What will happen next? Over 1,000 people have visited, Wilbur when people get bored he does a backflip. A runt he was Mr arable was going to chop his head off! But he didn't
